A mom of one of my twins’ friends was over and casually suggested I host a young writers workshop. My brain went “of course!!” I love working with young people and I love writer’s workshops. I have been involved in too many to count. I am a devotee of small intimate roundtable classes like the ones I benefited from at places like RISD and Wesleyan’s summer programs and later at Bennington College (VT) and the New School in (NYC). When I lived in Paris, I hosted an international writers group at my home where we ate toast points by the fire and worked on our fiction. Those were great days!
I’ve taught courses to college students at a Barcelona design university (IED) and I’ve worked with kids as young as 12. I’ve also worked with big brands like Timex to help tell their stories.
I am going back to school to get my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern (3 essays!) and with my remaining time, I’d like to help young people develop one of the most important skills they can master: writing and using their voice.
The elephant in the room here is A.I. I know how to use it as a tool, not a replacement, and I will show you that too.
Let me help you develop your story superpower in 2025. First fill out the form before we speak or find time on my calendar to talk if you know you want editorial help with college essays.
