Why Alpha to Z?

A mom of one of my twins friends casually suggested I host a young writers workshop at my house out of nowhere. My brain went "of course!" I love working with young people and I love writer's workshops and writers retreats. I have been to too many to count. I once wrote a 10 page proposal to the New York Board of Education to lead a workshop for creatives but they wanted me to oversee too many students. I am a devotee of small intimate roundtable classes like the ones I benefited from at places like RISD and Wesleyan's summer programs and later at Bennington College in Vermont and the New School in NYC. I also hosted an international writers group when I lived in Paris where we ate toast points by the fire and worked on our fiction. Those were great days! I have taught courses to college freshman and sophomores at an art university in Barcelona and worked with kids as young as 12. I've also worked with big brands like Timex to help tell their stories. I am going back to school to get my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern and would like to support that degree with hours spent helping young people develop one of the most important skills they can have: writing. A.I. is the elephant in the room and I know how to use it as a tool, not a replacement, and I will show you that too. Let me help you develop your story superpower. Get in touch!
